South Korea’s global ranking in terms of foreign direct investment (FDI) fell 11 notches to place 27th in the world in 2005, a report by a United Nations agency said Monday.

South Korea attracted US$7.19 billion in FDI last year, compared with $7.69 billion a year earlier, according to the the World Investment Report 2006 by the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
