China Southern Airlines has decided to halt Beijing-Pyongyang flights after Oct. 27, Japanese broadcaster NHK reported Wednesday. The carrier has been the only foreign airline to operate a regular service to the North Korean capital, commuting between the two cities three times a week — on Monday, Wednesday and Friday — since April.

NHK said the airline did not reveal details but said the decision was part of a revision of its flight schedules.
