This is as strange as it sounds.

KDB (Korea Development Bank) is being sued by Woori Bank about the misuse of $300m that Woori claimed to have deposited in KDB’s Irish subsiduary in 2002.  An alledged $45m loan was given to a financially troubled Japanese merchant bank by the KDB.  The Japanese bank subsequently defaulted on the loan and went into liquidation.

A bid was made to settle the case out of court last tuesday but they failed to find a compromise so now the case will have to go to the Irish high Court (From the Irish Independent).
